Beautiful and very well balanced male, gorgeous masculine head, lovely expression and excellent earset and carriage. Strong neck and topline. Excellent shoulder placement with lovely upperarm resulting into an excellent forechest. Deep in body with correct spring of ribs, strong loins, adequate hindquarters but with lots of strength. Moved like a dream and so effortless, he could be doing it for hours without any problems. He really put up a beautiful performance holding a nice outline with a gleaming coat and condition and using his tail like the standard asks for, it was a pleasure to have him in my ring and award him BD.

1st Open Dog

Another clearly out of the top drawer and full of breed type. Pleasing masculine head with excellent definition, ears well paced. Excellent in neck which was strong leading on to well set shoulders and overall front assembly. Good through the body, chest deep and ribs well sprung. Strong in loin with the correct level topline. Excellent quarters. Smart on the move with that typical Toller action especially in profile where he had rear drive. Very close decision in the challenge with the veteran winner but I preferred the front extension on The Entertainer, so Atka has to be content with Reserve Best Dog today. Smart dog and grateful to have the opportunity to judge him.

Wow! What a stunner! Everything in the right place. He screams Duck Toller to you and when he moves he just takes it to another level. Presented in rock hard condition and in full immaculate coat. Topline solid and sure and never once loosing it on the move. Correct wedge shaped head with good eye and enough work. Clean in foreface with nice big nose. Ear set correct and of medium size. Great front assembly, fabulous ribs and short strong loin. Super rear quarters and correct tailset. Stands over a good amount of ground and has the correct length to height ratio. Strong bone and neat feet. There is nothing overdone about him - moderate but correct. When he moves his side gait is eye catching with that lovely spring in his step so synonymous with the breed. Super head carriage and tail action. He was pushed hard by his kennel mate for BOB, just edging it with his typical movement.

This dog appealed as my idea of the 'original Toller' from when I attended the first breed specific seminar many years back. He has a classic head, good drop ear & correct placement & a kind eye too. I liked his overall balance, outline & front action. I did feel however that he too could be a touch more accurate behind, but his side gait & overall enthusiasm just took him to the CC over a very good veteran.
