Deep colour with a fair amount of white on his chest, nicely balanced front and rear and he has a lovely sweep of topline from neck to croup, rather heavy in head and too deep in flews, sound moving and in good muscle.

Litter brother of 2 much the same applies here. Masculine head with muscled neck. Deep chested and well sprung ribs. Good muscle tone. Felt that 1 & 2 drove out better.

Sunday 16th December 2018 Ladies Kennel Association (CC) - Mr Mike Blay (Longbarrow)

A darker type than 1, good head shape with white blaze on foreface. Good eye, clean neck and good front, liked his shape when stacked, had a presence about him on the move, just preferred 1 on the day.

Liked this dog standing but on the move I felt his tail carriage could have been better, however, he moved so well and true in all departments.

A dog I have admired for quite a time, but the first time I have had the opportunity to judge. Mature boy who makes a stunning outline standing. Love his really well proportioned head and length of muzzle with well held ears. Eyes blend with his very dark coat. Stands on good bone and neat feet with well set on neck in to level topline. Short coupled and strong in loin. Like his length of body to length of leg proportions, and in profile he really looks the part. Moved very steadily today in his class to beat one of his brothers, but was not quite as reliable going away in the challenge. RCC

Maturing nicely this 2 year old, deep red boy is fulfilling the promise he showed when I judged him as youngster. Masculine wedge-shaped head with mischievous expression, strong neck into well laid-back shoulders, well angulated rear. RBIS, BD the second of the brothers in my final line up and for me the most mature of the three. Well balanced and in glistening coat and hard condition. Strong male wedged shaped head with ears set well back and high on the skull and medium ears that framed his face neatly, I would prefer a slightly more moderate stop however. Medium strong neck well set on, excellent fore and rear angulation. Straight well boned legs leading to neat feet. Good depth of brisket and excellent spring of rib giving plenty of heart room. Level topline and strong loins leading to a heavily feathered tail that did not stop moving. Strong powerful rear quarters that provided the springy powerful drive expected of the breed. Well handled and presented.

Litter brother to the winner with slightly stronger bone throughout & a better, fuller coat on the day also presented in a very impressive well muscled condition. More compact than the winner though not quite so well balanced overall in my opinion. Head strongly masculine, well proportioned though I personally would not want any more strength in the skull. Presented in excellent coat, deeply darkly coloured with a lovely richness, condition, texture & lay. Good depth of brisket & spring of ribcage another very sound & true mover with some excellent breed qualities including well feathered & flagged tail.

Much more settled on the move in this class therefore drove around the ring. Good muscle tone. I believe this win gained his Junior Warrant. Congratulations.
