Thank you to the committee for the invitation to judge at their open show and apologies to them and the competitors for the tardiness of my critique. I had a lovely group of dogs to go over that demonstrated the character and temperament that is typical of the breed (even got to see the cheeky side) which was lovely.

Junior Dog or Bitch (1 entry)

1stBradley KATYRA THESE FOOLISH THINGS FOR RUDDYDUCK (IMP CAN)
This 14 month old boy had very nice angulation front and rear which enabled him to move with the drive and purpose needed for the job. He has a lovely typical wedge shaped head with a nice kind eye. His coat is a gorgeous rich colour that was nice and thick with a good length to it. He still has maturing to do, which is typical of the breed as they mature slowly, but he will mature into a handsome boy that will do well.

Post Graduate Dog or Bitch (4 entries)

1stNewson SH CH TIVALAKE MORE THAN WISHES
I loved this girl who is just shy of 2 years of age but is maturing very nicely. She had an excellent coat on her today which was nice and thick and of a good length. She has a typical wedge shaped toller head and had that naughty, cheeky twinkle in nice shaped eyes. Her angulation both ends are superb and that showed in her movement around the ring. She is a showgirl and just screamed 'look at me' with her attitude on the day. Standing she held a lovely outline that drew the eye to her. BOB.
2ndShore REDAURORA GOLDEN DREAM NOV EX RL3
Again a nice typical wedge shaped toller head with nice shaped kind eyes. Standing she looked the part with nice angulation front and rear, however on the move she wasn't quite driving herself round the ring. She has a double coat but was a little out of coat on the day.

Open Dog or Bitch (4 entries)

1stBurchell CH TIVALAKE JINGLE BELL ROCK SHCM RL2 SGWC
He is a full brother to my PG winner, but a couple of years older. A fantastic mature male with an excellent coat: thick, glossy and a lovely rich colour. He has excellent angulation which like his sibling shows in the movement as he powered round the ring. A lovely masculine wedge shaped head with good sized ears that drop correctly. Was very difficult to separate the siblings in the challenge but he didn't quite have the presence in the ring that his sister had. RBOB.
2ndCox DECOYMANS PIPER DREAMTIME IN ICESTORM RL2
Another masculine mature dog with a typical wedge shaped head. He has good angulation with it slightly more precise in the rear. His movement today was a little erratic due to the excitement of a friendly girl by the ring but away from her he settled down slightly to show how he could move.
