Puppy Dog (1 entry)

1stPowley CHRILIKAS DUKE OF DANEHAVEN (IMP NOR)
A pleasing and typical outline on this youngster rising nine months of age, lovely full puppy coat, well marked with blaze and four white feet. Strong bone and firm feet, well focused expression, keen and alert, ears disproportionately large at present, balanced, nicely wedge shaped head. A very sound and true mover with good springy gait and correct tail carriage. BP. Congratulations.

One I have judged before, as was true of several dogs today, when I was most impressed as a puppy. Still a very well made and extremely sound moving two and a half year old dog but now presents as rather heavy and not the medium build that the standards seeks. An active dog with a well proportioned head, though his expression is a little plain. He has a somewhat excessive spring of ribcage and too much coat on show today. Excellent strong bone and firm feet, good tail carriage.
2ndMoult & Savory ACANUCK SOUL REBEL OF CROFTWELL
A two and a half year old well marked youngster with good wedge shaped head and typical expression, good coat colour, strong bone and firm feet. A promising head which still needs time to come to its best along with more finish in the body. For me he would benefit with more width in front and rear, which shows on the move, but is a steady and jaunty mover with a pleasing tail carriage.

1stPowley DANEHAVEN DETROIT
A seven year old mature, well balanced dog, nicely marked, though losing coat somewhat today. Stands four-square being so well made, most attractive head proportions with lovely dark eye and shape to eye rims, conveying a typical breed expression, firm, well muscled topline with the same repeated in the hindquarters and second thigh. A strong, sound mover with good tail carriage, driving well from the hocks. RBD. Congratulations.

Veteran Dog (1 entry)

Litter brother to the previous class winner, similar type but more compact and short coupled, lovely dark coat colour and texture with plenty of undercoat. As a veteran still retains all his power and strength of appearance as a very typical breed specimen. Super broad, wedge shaped head with dark hazel eye colour and bright alert expression, well sprung ribcage, firm and muscled across the loins, excellent well muscled hindquarters, including second thigh, with well turned stifles. Moved very straight and true with real drive from behind and reach in front displaying a full bushy tail carried well. BD, BV & BOB. Congratulations.

Junior Bitch (2 entries, 1 absent)

1stRice FALLOWFEN'S YOKO
A sixteen month old bitch with an attractive clean outline, pleasing eye colour and shape though flying one ear which spoilt her expression today. Not a big bitch and would benefit over time with more substance being present, but reasonably well constructed with good lay of coat and well bent stifles. Reasonably true but somewhat narrow on the move fore and aft, reaching out well in front, good tail carriage.

Post Graduate Bitch (1 entry)

1stPowley DANEHAVEN RED ROCK
A nicely mature bitch of good type rising six years of age in lovely coat and bloom with undercoat present. Well shaped head and kind eye, muzzle could be slightly stronger for me, but very well angulated throughout, deep full brisket and lovely straight front, splendid topline, firm and strong, well sprung ribcage, excellent proportionate depth of body, compact and well coupled with slight tuck up. Super well muscled hindquarters, rear movement a bit erratic at times, bushy tail well carried. BB. Congratulations.

1stPowley DANEHAVEN EFFINGHAM OFF KYMIN
A lovely four and a half year old very typical bitch, plenty of strength and shape to the head, well proportioned. Very well constructed throughout, excellent depth of brisket, good bone and firm feet, a sound and happy mover well presented but carrying too much weight today which affected her topline. RBB. Congratulations.
2ndMoult & Savory DECOYMANS PIPER MAPLE OF CROFTWELL
Another typical bitch, a few months older than the winner, attractive coat colour though lacking in undercoat, well marked whites, kind dark eye and pleasing expression, bone could be a bit stronger in the forelegs for me. Good topline with typical tuck up, well bent stifles and muscled hindquarters. Moved soundly in a jaunty manner.
