The wettest show I have ever judged. Many dogs moving very close behind. Coats, especially in dogs, were not good. Some dogs lacked the confidence required by the standard (although I appreciate that some may have been put off by my hat!). There were several short upper arms leading to a lack of front extension. Enjoyed judging this super entry, and was thrilled to discover that I had made up the first UK bitch champion. Exhibitors chose to stay outside in spite of the weather. We all got very wet, but dogs and handlers and my valiant steward stayed cheerful. I would like to apologise for the brevity of notes in the later bitch classes - the paper was sodden and my pen refused to write!
