1st Veteran Dog Or Bitch

This mature veteran has excellent front angulation, with well muscled forequarters, shoulder well laid back and correctly laid in allowing good spring of rib. His coat was a little open, he has good proportions, and a firm topline, he really excelled in his movement , flowing around the ring with a ground covering action with good reach and drive. He gave such an Impression of power and so workmanlike, he could work all day. Just a tad strong in head for me, but very well handled and deserved his win. (BV & RBD)

This quality, well boned dog has such a calm, collected manner it would be easy to overlook him in favour of the more 'showy' exhibits. Loved his masculine head with correct wedge shape, almond eyes with kindly expression and well set ears. Medium length of neck into well laid shoulders. Forelegs straight and strong with nice round feet. Strong over the loin and well muscled and angulated hindquarters. One of few to drop his head almost level with his back on the move, as the standard calls for. Moved out effortlessly with good reach and drive. Really stood out here today. Well deserved Best Dog and Best of Breed.

He has a shorter but strong neck, correct topline, good body shape, short strong loin, with his legs and feet well under him. He has moderate hind angulation and his colour is bright with decent markings. A steady reliable mover, not quite as outgoing as 1.

A dog I have admired from the ringside for some time and hands on certainly didn't disappoint. Again pleasing head proportions, strong shoulders, deep through brisket, well muscled, strong second thigh, correct tailset. Carried his head level with his back as he moved around the ring; didn't have the animation on the move as my first place.

Again that lovely masculine outlook, he again is quality & a lovely type, masculine head & expression, correct neck shoulders & topline, moved well on well boned legs & feet, well set & carried tail, looked particularly good in profile movement keeping his head at the correct level for the breed, again put down in excellent coat & condition.

Three year old gentleman who is so typical in shape and build. Good shape to skull with alert, biddable attitude. Bite could be a touch more definite for me, but otherwise he epitomises the breed.
