Another bitch deserving of her title. A pleasing feminine head and expression. Clean line and no cheekiness, Well set apart almond eye. Broad skull and well set medium sized ear. Rich coat colour and matching pigmentation. Well made front with good bone and round feet. Well ribbed with a good tuck up strong loin into a well made rear and kept her topline on the move with correct tail carriage and set. Well handled.

Saturday 20th May 2023 Scottish Kennel Club (CC) - Mr David Shields (Wilholme)

Good one with a very typical appearance. Medium size as the standard asks for. Powerful and another with the required substance throughout but still keeps a very feminine outlook. Best of fronts standing on good legs and feet, firm body and good width of quarters. Moved well. Just lacking coat on the day.

Slightly smaller bitch who is still very feminine & of a good type, has so many good points & was shown to perfection with excellent profile movement, put down in excellent coat & condition, so very feminine in outook & very balanced set up & moving, feminine head & expression with the correct neck & shoulders, considered her for the RCC but my heart went for the veteran.

1st Open Bitch

I have done this bitch well before and now at 5 years old, she is fully matured. She was completely out of coat, but there was nothing to hide. Without her clothes you could see even more just how well-made she is, she moves like a dream, with a ground covering, daisy-cutting action. Apart from her lack of coat, she had only one fault that mattered today in the challenge and it was her low tail carriage. (BB)

Turned out this is sibling to the limit bitch. What a cracking litter and excellent dam, whose name figured in winners today. Yes she has quality and type. She is sound and fit but she also came in with an air of star quality today and couldn't be beaten for the CC.

1st Open Bitch

My junior winner from my last appointment and if anything just gets better as she matures, loved her clean head, soft melting expression and well placed ears, good length to neck and well placed shoulders, best of fronts and correct tight feet, good depth to chest and well sprung, strong lion and best of angles behind, found her well muscled with super turn to stifle, in plenty of coat. Today she moved a dream with correct footfall and straight lines, loved this bitch then and certainly didn't disappoint today, thoroughly deserved her CC and just unfortunate to come against the dog in such fine form in the final challenge.

Very appealing, sound on handling, true front coming towards, elbows tight, level back line, carries a good rib with length, has the width in rear quarters with well set hocks. Won well.

This quality bitch was what I had been looking for all day; so full of breed type and very well constructed. Her movement was effortless. For me she is the ideal shape, size and proportions for a bitch. So balanced and well angled fore and aft. In the challenge for BOB she just lost a bit of her showmanship. A very worthy winner of Best Bitch.

Fabulous class. Loved this bitch's type and shape, best of feminine heads, good eye colour, correct ear placement, best of neck and shoulders, deep in chest and well sprung, straight on the leg, strong loin and level in top line, best of coats, well muscled rear with a lovely turn of stifle, super fluid mover who didn't put a foot wrong, Well deserving of her class and eventually the CC.

Litter sister to my BOB and shows many of his qualities. She is a smaller bitch which is beautifully proportioned. Whilst she is on the lower end of the standard she has substance and strength which makes her fit for purpose. She has a sweet expression and good wedge shaped head, good length of strong neck leading into well laid back shoulders and good fore quarters. Level topline, short loin and well set on tail. Moved well. Just out of coat today.

Very close up to 1. Her lack of stop at the moment detracts from her head but I am sure that this will come. Super shoulders, correct depth and spring of rib. Level topline and correct rear angles. Another sound mover.

Another typy puppy but at the growing stage so not as balanced as the winner. She has a super head piece and a good overall shape, with a good back of shoulder. Good legs and feet. Body developing well with ribs and loin where you would expect them at this age. Did ok on the move, had plenty of enthusiasm, needs to settle in to her front action but another promising puppy. I think these two may change places a lot in the future.
