Found this 6 year old dog to be so well balanced and an honest sort. Nothing flashy, just nicely put together, sound and functional. He is of a medium size, with the right amount of substance. His head is masculine, showing the desired slight wedge shape, with toning almond eyes, well placed high set ears all giving him a kind but alert expression. Correct medium length of neck, which flowed seamlessly into a firm and well held topline. Good spring to the ribcage and a short strong loin. Strong and muscular hindquarters, showing a good bend to the stifle and low set hocks. He has a lovely lightness to his action on the move, true and clean. Shown with a double coat and in super condition. Delighted to award him the DCC & BOS, congratulations, I understand that this was his 3rd CC, well done on your new champion.

I preferred the overall size and quality of head. Correct colour and matching pigment. Straight front and good bone and round feet. Wedge shaped head with a broad skull, correct almond eye. Well sprung rib and depth into a strong well filled loin. Well let down behind with correct angulation. Moved well enough both ways.

Very impressive dog of excellent overall balance. True head shape with good breadth of skull, moderate stop and clean cheeks. Strong neck leading to excellent lay of shoulder and corresponding length and return of upper arm. Good depth of chest with elbows close to the body. Well sprung ribcage leading to strong loin and powerful hindquarters. Excellent bone and feet. Very powerful movement. He has a very thick, profuse coat which can detract from his outline. But none the less he is a first class dog who was close up in the challenge for top honours.

Very close up to 1 and another I've really liked the look of from ringside, he's really developed into a high quality male of excellent type and substance who will always catch a judge's eye, slightly shorter coupled than 1 but another with a fabulous Toller head, with strength and depth and alert expression, always using his ears to help him listen to his handler's commands. Strong bone, very good front assembly and strong rear holding a firm strong topline in the stand and when on the move, his movement is powerful and accurate and shows himself off with attitude. I see he is the sire of the BPB and BPD and has passed many excellent qualities on. Another who I think will be at his best in a year or so.

One really needs to get your hands on this male to truly appreciate his quality and virtues. Balanced and free from exaggeration. Excellent head and expression with lovely eye. Ears correctly held and set. Correct, clean and complete dentition. The strongest of necks into excellent forehand assembly. Very good width and depth of brisket. Well sprung ribs with strong loin. Very good and unexaggerated hindquarters with good width of second thigh and moderately bent stifle. Quality bone all through and excellent feet with the shortest of nails. Moved accurately in all profiles and planes maintaining topline at all times. My absolute pleasure to award this male the Challenge Certificate today and Best Opposite Sex.

What an excellent example of the breed this young dog of just 2 years of age is. Presents absolute quality in all departments, the very best of heads, both broad and rounded with eye of correct shape and colour, dentition correct, clean and complete, Neck of moderate length, muscular into excellent forehand angulation with elbows close to body. Chest of good depth and width, well sprung ribs, strong loin, the very best of hindquarter assemblies. Tight, neat feet with shortest of nails, quality bone all through, excellent overall balance, moved soundly, maintaining a firm and level topline and moved with accuracy at all times – Just missed Best Dog today by the smallest of margins but a very worthy winner of Reserve Best Dog.

Twenty and a half months, many of the above positive comments would equally apply to this exhibit, lovely square outline and attractive alert expression not quite as lively on the move as the winner but demonstrating sounder action on the day in my opinion. A dense coat with white feet but rather softer in texture than the first dog another presented in excellent solid well bodied and muscled condition. Well constructed overall with firm topline heavily flagged tail carried well on the move.
