7yo dog I have admired from the ringside before. Presents a powerful and compact overall appearance. Excellent head and earset. Strong neck and excellent front angulation. Well sprung ribs and short coupled. Good bone and stood straight with strong pasterns. Would like slightly more bend of stifle. Shown in full coat. Challenged his handler today, displaying the breed’s playful temperament. A lovely example of the breed who pushed hard for top spot. RBOB and pleased to see him take Veteran Group 3.

7yr D proving that older is not always well behaved and can present a super outline when he wants to. Loved his head, strong neck to well laid shoulders with good forechest and nice bone. Deep well sprung ribs with a level topline through to a well made rear. Super mover, true with reach, drive and attitude. BOB

7 year old dog, with a beautiful head. Adequality boned with tight feet. Deep chested with a good tuck up. Good angulation and well balanced but was on the heavier side today. Good length on back and short loin with straight top line. Had a lovely thick red shade of coat. But, moved a little sluggish today.

Fully mature 7 year old male. Excellent breed typical head, broad in skull, nicely chiselled, wedge shaped, with flat cheeks. He has the best ears, of good triangular shape with correct lift at base and well dropped. Lovely almond shaped eyes of correct placement and size, presents with a classic Toller masculine expression. Strong muscular neck leading onto well laid shoulders with equal length and return of upper arm. Good width in front standing on straight columns , excels in bone and substance onto powerful feet. Ribs were just a shade too round for me, but well muscled and of correct length leading onto nice short couplings giving strength in the back. Plenty of width across the loins. Would prefer a little more bend of stifle, but he powered round the ring on the move, holding a level topline, with the best reach and drive in the class. He is so full of breed type and had the most compact, powerful profile of the day, a worthy winner of this class and BOB.
2nd AV Gundog Veteran Dog Or Bitch (Judge: Jean Byrne (Enryb))
Another top quality exhibit, such a well constructed dog throughout. Best of heads, strong through neck with well laid shoulders Held his topline well and stood on strong hocks. Moved out with drive and purpose, shown in excellent coat and condition.

Another that I really liked, he has super balance and construction and oozes breed type. Forme today seemed to be carrying a tad too much weight, which made him look a little heavy, shame as I really liked him.So typy and full of quality. Lovely masculine head, good wedge shape, kind almond eye. Super depth and development of forechest. Well boned limbs and tight feet. Shown with a fabulous double coat. Sound on the move.

The opening statement from the breed standard calls for a "Medium sized, compact. Powerful, well muscled. A heavily feathered tail, constantly moving.". That sentence sums up this 4yr old boy. Super shape and outline, correct wedge shaped head with well set ears. Excels in front assembly with laid back shoulders over well sprung, deep ribs. Short loin to correctly angulated, well muscled rear. Level topline and correct tail carriage. True on the move with correct reach and drive. Such a showman who could not be denied BOB.
