Best Of Breed | Melanitta Palmata JW | Ward |
Reserve Best Of Breed | Eusanit Wild Atlantic Way | Palfrey |
The breed standard calls for a well laid back shoulder – sadly these were lacking. Return of upper arm was good. Some were very close on hind movement.
Post Graduate Dog or Bitch (2 entries)
1st | Palfrey EUSANIT WILD ATLANTIC WAY 3 year old dog with correct wedge head and almond eye. He had a good reach of neck and good strong front legs. Correct white markings. He had a good spring of rib and was short coupled. Moved out happily. RESERVE BEST OF BREED |
2nd | Vaughan-Walker & Creasey WEYFROME UNDER A WATERFALL Lighter in coat colour and in frame than 1 this busy girl was giving her owner a hard time. She has a pretty head and neat ears. She is very alert but has a soft expression. She has a level topline with slight slope over croup to her tail which she wagged – a lot! A bit chaotic on the move but eventually settled. |
Open Dog or Bitch (2 entries)
1st | Ward MELANITTA PALMATA JW Rich red well coated 5 year old male – he has a masculine head with kind eye. Self coloured nose and eye ribs he was steady in his gaze. Compact throughout he has a good return of upper arm, straight front legs and tidy feet. He is well ribbed and has a strong loin. Decent bend of stifle and is well feathered. He was the best mover of the day. BEST OF BREED |
2nd | Nevers TOLLELKIN DREAM COVE AT SHELDRAKE JW 2 year old slightly paler boy lacking the maturity of the winner – however there was much to like about him. He had a handsome head, alert ears and expression, correct bite. Decent length of shoulder and good return of upper arm. Level topline and sloping off over the croup to a well feathered tail which he used on the move. He is slightly longer than 1 but carried himself well on the move. |
