Best Of BreedCretshengan Kitchi Lake (AI)Gough

Thank you very much to the competitors who fared the cold to allow me to go over their beautiful dogs today. Though the breeds were small in numbers in each breed there were more than one dog in each breed carrying far too much weight. Its post-Christmas now so time for some extra walks to get ready for Crufts!

Lovely bitch very feminine slightly wedge shaped. Ribs well sprung, brisket to the elbows and moved well during her class. Preferred her well laid shoulders and shoulder set just gave her the edge over no 2.

The breed standard asks for a medium sized, compact, powerful and well-muscled dog and this dog does give that impression. Beautifully presented double coat with lots of feathering and a jaunty gait appearing to enjoy his day out! Well done.

Lovely mature dog, broad clean-cut skull, slightly wedge shaped. Strongly well-muscled clean neck on a well-muscled body with a well sprung rib covered by a correct double coat. Moved with a jaunty step and even though the small rings were not entirely suitable for such a large stepping dog he did a good job of showing his strong rear drive with parallel movement. Possibly a bit longer than I may have preferred but I found him very stylish on the day making the most of the ring BOB

Another beautiful dog with everything to like. Preferred his length but felt the ring conditions just did not suit him and he travelled sideways making parallel movement fore and aft difficult to assess. Lovely straight forelegs and strong sloping pasterns. Perhaps carrying a little extra weight today (it is post-Christmas)!
