Thank you to the Secretary, Officers, and Committee for the kind invitation to judge Nova Scotia Duck Tolling Retrievers at my first appointment. It was a truly wonderful day, and I thoroughly enjoyed the experience. A special thank you to my excellent steward, whose help on the day was greatly appreciated. Finally, thank you to all the exhibitors who gave me the opportunity to judge their dogs.
Puppy Dog or Bitch (4 entries, 1 absent)
| 1st | Rogers EUSANIT REDORA 7-month-old feminine bitch with lots to like. Close call between 1 and 2. Nice wedge shape head with blaze marking and good ear set. Well feathered and lovely dense coat. Good front and tight feet. Moderate tuck up. Good amount of bone, well angulated, front and rear and good tailset with nice white tipped tail. Moved well with drive. BP |
| 2nd | Hunt WAKADUZE DOTAME Just shy of 12-months-old feminine bitch with a sweet expression. Good earset. Eyes blended with rich coat colour, slightly lacking coat today. Good front and tight feet. Level topline and good tuck up. Well feathered tail. Good rear angulation. Held good topline on the move and moved well. |

Dense coat with rich colour. Extremely well muscled all over, especially the neck. Good depth of chest for age and tight feet. Good tailset, well feathered with white tipped tail. Well angulated front and rear. Moved soundly. |

Soft, dense coat, lovely shade of orange. Well muscled, deep chest and ribs well sprung. Well angulated front and rear. Level topline and good tailset, carried well on the move. Moved with drive and covered ground well. Pushed in the challenge. RBOB |

Nice front and tight feet. Balanced throughout. Well-muscled but would prefer more in the neck. Ribs well sprung and good angulation front and rear. Well feathered and good tailset. Jumpy to start with but moved well with drive once settled. Held topline well on the move and when stood. |
