A super entry for Helen Sutton, thank you all for entering and being there on the day to support me as your replacement judge. I can see a lot of quality Tollers obviously live in the southern region. The decision were at times very difficult due to the high-quality entry, the challenge was full of excellent examples of the breed and was delightful to see.
Puppy Dog or Bitch (3 entries)
1st | Shore BRIZTOLLIE I HAVE A DREAM Super 11-month-old boy at the top scale for size. Appropriately sized head of correct shape with moderate stop and tapered muzzle. Eyes and ears of appropriate size and colour. Moderate length of neck which was already well muscled and led to well laid shoulders. Elbows were close to his body and chest deep with good, shaped ribs and muscular short loin. Moderately tucked up. Strong straight hocks at the rear from all angles. Feet tight and round. Tail flowing from slightly sloping croup. Covered by a good double coat of medium length. Moved well. Best Puppy |
2nd | Hughes ABACOT HEART OF THE OCEAN Lovely boy coming up to 8-months-old. He has a very nice outline when stood. On smaller lines than my class winner but well within the standard. Super head, well set ears and eyes, and good length of neck, well angulated front with strong topline, moderate tuck up and short loin. Moved well for his age. Just losing out to his more mature classmate. |
3rd | Rogers EUSANIT REDORA Lovely and very feminine 8-month-old bitch, super quality on a much smaller scale. Was slightly spooked by me today but moved well when settled. After the show, she had settled, and we were able to make friends. |
Special Yearling Dog or Bitch (7 entries)
Biggest class of the day and full of promising exhibits, it’s a shame I only had so many cards. My placings for 1 and 2 were very high quality, and 1 challenged hard for top honours.
1st | Parker & Hipkiss SKYSARIA BLAZE OF HOPE WITH DELTANDAMBA JW Absolutely loved this boy and now I can see the catalogue I know why. He is a chip off the old block, and I am not at all surprised to see he has his JW. Lovely outline which immediately appeals, he has a super head which shows his masculinity. Correct eyes, ears, along with shape and proportions to skull. Well laid-back shoulders, evidence of well developing fore chest, super angle and length to upper arm. Super topline and strong central core, short loin, moderate tuck up and well angled and muscular rear. Tail set used to advantage on the move. I will watch his future with interest. |
2nd | Boyd SKYSARIA ETERNAL FLAME JW Litter brother to my class winner and evidently out of the same mould so all the comments above apply. I am sure these two have and will swop places throughout their show career. |

Post Graduate Dog or Bitch (4 entries, 1 absent)
1st | Hughes ABACOT INTO THE UNKNOWN JW Another lovely boy at almost 4 years old, and now fully mature. He has a lovely masculine head which oozes quality, A super well-made front with well-laid shoulder and a good length and muscular return of upper arm. Strong body with short loin and strong well-muscled rear. Moved well. I would have liked more rear angulation, and this swayed my decision in the challenge but none-the-less a super boy. |
2nd | Westwood & McDonald EUSANIT LOVED AND LOST My third place in the previous class where he was unfortunate to come up against the two litter brothers. Overall, a very nice shape with super head and good length of neck. He has well-laid shoulders and good angulation and length to upper arm. Super well-developed body with short loin, moderate tuck up and super angulation to the rear. He moved well in both classes. Unfortunately losing out to my class winner due to maturity. |
3rd | Hunter SERENTAN CASTOR |
Open Dog or Bitch (9 entries, 1 absent)
1st | Westwood IR SH CH EUSANIT PROPER JOB JW Super 6-year-old fully mature male with the best of heads, so masculine but not overdone. Beautiful appealing expression with super proportions and shape to his skull and muzzle. He has almond shaped eyes with correct colour which corresponded with his coat. His ears are of correct shape and well feathered. Strong and well-muscled medium length neck leading to well-laid shoulders and corresponding strong upper arm. He is deep chested with well sprung ribs, short strong loin and level topline. He has a strong well-muscled first and second thigh and good tail set which he used to maximum effect when on the move. Delighted to award him Best of Breed. |
2nd | Ward MELANITTA PALMATA JW Another mature 6-year-old male, many of the above comments apply. He has a good head although not quite the masculinity of my winner. Super expression and good proportions to skull and muzzle. Moderate length of neck which was well muscled and strong, good depth of chest and good amount of fore chest. Well ribbed body and short loin. Good rear angulation, strong hocks and well-muscled first and second thighs. Being very picky I preferred the head and length of body of my winner but none the less this boy has a lot to like. Reserve Best of Breed |
