Thank you for the wonderful numerical entry. I do feel that the quality has not improved since I last judged and I have a few worrying observations. Many exhibits, even young stock, were missing front teeth. Several had bad mouths and questionable temperament. Expressions in places were hard and not typical of a Toller. Angulation in front and lack short upper arm in many. I was however very pleased with my principle winners and delighted to see the BP go RBPIS and my BV go BVIS.

My choice for RESERVE BEST PUPPY IN SHOW was Smith's TOLLISTY COULDN'T CARELESS, Nova Scotia Duck Tolling Retriever Bitch, very feminine, lovely head and expression. Well angulated, in good coat, moved really well, so unlucky to come up against the winning puppy.

It is always a pleasure to go over the oldies, and they did not disappoint, they all moved well and were well presented. My selection for BEST VETERAN IN SHOW was Hipkiss' ERIKACHEN O'RUADH FOR DELTANDAMBA JW ShCM ShCEx, nearly 8 years old, Nova Scotia Duck Tolling Retriever Dog, simply stormed round the ring, lovely head and expression, well made throughout, coat was in excellent condition. I know the coat was a little darker than most, but this was within the breed standard, and should never be penalised.
